About

I’m a media and communications student with a strong interest in sustainable fashion, charity shops, and circular consumption. Before moving to the UK, my experience of second-hand clothing was limited to for-profit resale, which made discovering British charity shops a genuinely eye-opening experience. I was inspired by how these spaces combine affordability, social impact, and sustainability—while also offering unique and vintage fashion finds.

As a regular charity shop shopper, I created this project to challenge outdated perceptions of second-hand clothing and to highlight charity shops as stylish, ethical, and accessible fashion destinations. Through research-led storytelling and digital media, my aim is to encourage more people to see charity shop fashion not as a compromise, but as a conscious and confident choice.

I’m Nigina,
